Jeanne Tepper, Jean Tepper Art | ARTIST’S STATEMENT: My artistic endeavors, heavily influenced by nature, are an inner challenge to recreate something I've seen or experienced. I attempt to capture a special moment in time using color, line and texture to evoke a feeling or memory, such as the solace of sitting at a pond's edge, relishing the quiet moments shared only by the sounds of buzzing bees and zipping movements of dueling dragonflies. My hope is to share the joy and excitement I feel when I communicate with others through the universal language of art. BIO: Nature and water dominate Jeanne's artwork. Over time her work has evolved from realism to impressionism towards abstract. She utilizes a variety of mediums, depending on the mood desired: watercolor, sometimes embellished with pastels; acrylics; oils with cold wax; mixed media; and collage. Gels and plaster add translucency and texture. From an early age drawing captured Jeanne’s imagination, art classes stretched and encouraged her gravitational pull towards art. A Bachelor of Science degree in interior design, graduating in three years Magna Cum Laude, led to her 42-year career in a field incorporating her drawing and painting skills. Her selection of artwork for homes, offices, commercial, civic, institutional and hospitality projects enhanced those settings by adding emotion or visual excitement, and encouraging healing. She finds creating art therapeutic and satisfying. Website: jeannetepperart.com Email: info@jeannetepperart.com |
