Kari Uhlman -- Ultrawoman Art

ARTIST’S STATEMENT:  In my paintings, I try to convey courage in dealing with feelings we prefer to ignore.  I courageously pursue creating art that promotes peace.  My artistic influence is the hand of God, displaying His majesty in all creation.  For me, creating is about surrendering everything to Jesus.  My acrylic paintings range from Biblical to promoting joy in others.

BIO:   Kari Uhlman lives in California. She was first introduced to art as a child, through her neighbor.  She is a married, retired civil servant, and Mending the Soul Facilitator. She is on the Advisory Committee for Stand Up Placer.  Kari studied General Design.

One of Kari’s favorite paintings, “Jaja” (shown below) won the People’s Choice Award in the 2022 Hot Art in Hot July Exhibition. She won the Geoff Boyd Memorial Award in the 2021 17th Annual Placerville Art Parade. She also won third place in the 2021 and 2022 Pink in the Night Poster Contest.  Upon viewing her work, you will immediately be transported to a sense of calm and peacefulness. Her acrylic paintings include stunning, vibrant, welcoming scenes.
